Hi, I’m Rita. I connect the dots you’re too close to see.

I’ve sat in every marketing seat: manager, director, VP. For 25 years I led marketing across tourism, entertainment, CPG, higher education, and B2B, from 3M to DreamWorks to City Winery to Choose Chicago. I helped Chicago earn the title of Best Big City in the U.S., and I helped City Winery see an opportunity on the Riverwalk before anyone else did.

Then I built a business from nothing. So I know what it’s like to make the call with nobody to ask.

My approach starts with listening. I ask questions until the real reason shows up, and I tell you what I see, not what’s easiest to say.

Rita Chen Consulting is a WBENC-certified Women’s Business Enterprise. I bring diverse perspective and inclusive thinking into every engagement, as part of how I see and solve problems.

The Explorer in Me

I’ve always gone looking for the root cause. In marketing, it’s why customers and clients choose you. In my own life, it’s what keeps me strong and well. That’s how strength training became a habit, and how TritaEats was born, where I explore food as medicine. When I’m not with clients, you’ll also find me hiking in Scotland or biking the lakefront.

And yes, I once helped pull off a surprise Prince concert that sold out in 33 minutes.
